Last quote by Claire Gamble

I happily pay NI because I want to support NHS, disability/sickness benefits and so on, but these have had massive cuts recently and I am not convinced the extra money raised from increase in NI will go towards these. I won't be able to pass on increased costs to clients, so I'll have to absorb it myself / work more to make up the shortfall. It will have big impact on individual self employed people, but surely only a small impact on the money the Government raises - surely they'd be better going after the large corporations who avoid millions in corporation tax.feedback

Claire Gamble has most recently been quoted in an article called 'After that Budget I won't be able to make ends meet': Self-employed workers and business owners tell their stories. Claire Gamble said, “I've been self employed for three years and work as a freelance PR. I took the decision when my first child was born because of the flexibility it would give me to work around him. I'm now expecting my second baby in a few weeks. Hopefully have a few months off but then will need to start freelancing again because of money. Being self employed you don't get perks and benefits like paid holidays, paid days off if you're sick/your child is sick, or workplace pension. The small 'tax perk' you get doesn't make up for this short fall.”. Claire Gamble has been quoted a grand total of 2 times in 1 article.
