From a fan's standpoint, I hope that if I'm able to mix the baseball stuff with the fun, light topics, that it could make for a fun, 45-minute podcast, or something like that.”.

The good thing about this from my standpoint is Alan and Tony and everyone at Chads has essentially given this to me and said run with it. Whatever works for me in terms of topics, in terms of themes, in terms of frequency, in terms of duration, they've been very kind about kind of putting it all in my corner and letting me make the decisions that I think would make for a quality podcast that people would enjoy listening to.

What they expressed to me right off the bat is they're trying to make the restaurant into a sports destination, and specifically a Nationals destination. They'd like to cosmetically make changes to a lot of stuff around there, including having Nats memorabilia and pictures and all sorts of Nats gear.

I think we'll have a good back-and-forth on there and we'll mix in some player interviews, some fan questions, some interviews with other reporters, both that cover the Nats and other teams around the league.

A medium where I would have more of a chance to express my own personality, to cover various Nationals topics and to do some fun, wide-ranging interviews with any number of players, staffers and reporters really appealed to me. It started with that. Then I talked with Tony and it kind of spiraled from there.

There are a lot of personable, fun guys on this team, and I'd love the opportunity to let them kind of showcase those personalities and maybe bring out some of the stuff that fans don't get to see or hear as much. From a fan's standpoint, I hope that if I'm able to mix the baseball stuff with the fun, light topics, that it could make for a fun, 45-minute podcast, or something like that.

So, that's a really cool thing that's incredibly humbling, and the podcast is an experiment for me. It's not something that I have any experience doing, obviously. It's still a very new space for me, but I'm very excited about the opportunity and the direction that it might go.
