I guess better now than in the middle of something where we had to start talking about it. But it would still be the same message. It's stuff we don't control.

That was more of a soap opera, for sure. But even though there was a lot of talk about it and a lot of noise about it, it really didn't change anything I was trying to do. It has nothing to do with what we at field level are trying to do. And it's not like we're getting updates on what's going on. We don't really know.

Above my pay grade. I don't worry about things I can't control. It's the same with this ballclub. When you play professionally, you know how to cut out distractions.

We feel like any time you talk about coaches and letting someone go those are not easy things to talk about. We'll just try to get the best guy for the situation.

I don't need to get into the reasons really with anything with Barry.

When I think about Josie, it's going to be thinking about a little kid. I see such a little boy in him ... the way he played. ... Kids play Little League, that's the joy Jose played with.

We're hopeful, but it's probably a 50-50 thing.

We bounced back. They bounced back and from there it was crazy after that.

What do you have to do to get that guy out? I don't know. We didn't figure it out today. He's a tough out right now and obviously, when you're getting seven hits, you're feeling pretty good about yourself. So I'm sure this whole series, it's not going to be fun trying to get him out.

For me, it's been an honor to watch him play, an honor to have managed him. He honors our game the way he plays, the way he prepares. Everything he does is a tribute to the game of baseball. He shows our guys how you're supposed to do it.
