I'm a little frustrated that I shot three-over. But I didn't play that bad. I just didn't putt very good. It wasn't that I was hitting bad putts, my speed was a little off.feedback

Jun 15 2017

That's why you're seeing some big scores, because the greens are so receptive. I think if it got really firm it would definitely play difficult.feedback

I just didn't putt very well. I missed a lot of really good opportunities. That was the big key for me. If I don't three-putt, I shoot even (par). If I just make one or two of the good looks I have, it's a couple under. I didn't hit it great, but I hit it good enough to shoot a good score.feedback

Jun 14 2017

I mean the golf course I really like it. It's a typical U.S. Open venue where the fact is that you have to hit the fairways. You can't really play from the rough. It's a difficult championship to win. It always plays very difficult.feedback

Jun 14 2017

The biggest thing about being a caddie is knowing your player, knowing what to say to them, what not to say or when to leave them alone and not say anything. No one knows me better than my brother.feedback

Jun 12 2017

I talked about it with the USGA in the recorder's hut afterward about whether I should get a penalty or not, but after a while I didn't give a s---. I told them, fine, whatever, can I just have the trophy?' That was my springboard. It affirmed that the things I was doing were working. It was huge for my confidence and I've stepped up my game to a whole different level.feedback

May 10 2017

I believe so. I haven't had a lot of success around here, so it's definitely a challenge for me. But I feel like if I'm going to play well here, this is the time that I will play well. Everything throughout my whole game is in really good form right now and I feel like I'm starting to play this course better. But it doesn't bother me, no. I try not to let things bother me. I think I do a pretty good job of it.feedback

May 07 2017

I didn't have a lot of time off, so I didn't really know what to expect this week because I didn't really get to practice leading into this tournament, either. Not much has changed. The first couple days I didn't play that great, but really played nicely on Saturday and Sunday and so I'm happy with where the game is going into next week.feedback

May 03 2017

I'll take it, though. I need all the good shots I can get. I haven't hit too many lately. I was on a good roll, playing the best golf of my career leading into Augusta. I've had a lot more time off than I would have liked to have had. Still, I feel like I'm swinging really well. Hit a few good shots out there today. But we'll just have to see. I haven't played many rounds, and definitely haven't played any competitive rounds since six weeks ago.feedback

I want to play. I just can't swing. I'm playing the best golf of my career. This is one of my favorite tournaments of the year. Then a freak accident happened (Wednesday) when I got back from the course. It sucks. It sucks really bad. It would have been better if it was full set of stairs. I would have slid all the way down. But there were only three steps. I landed on my left side. My left elbow is sore and bruised. My lower left back took the brunt of it.feedback

Apr 06 2017

I was making swings on the range but could only go 80%. I could make a good backswing but at impact it was too much. So I don't feel like there was any chance of me competing. I was doing everything I could to play. I was up most of last night using ice, using heat, using ice again. I was desperate to get it ready for this morning. I just can't make my normal swing because of my lower left back. I'm playing the best golf of my career. This is an event I look forward to every year, so to have a freak accident mean I can't play? It just sucks, it really does.feedback

Mar 29 2017

Major championships have huge weight and I'm not focused on trying to win majors to get to No1 any more. It's just trying to do it to do it. So, that side of things, getting No1 isn't the pressure that I feel, but that's the only way to really take big strides towards him because I don't think he's letting up anytime soon.feedback

Mar 29 2017

I'm not trying to say I told you so, but I definitely called this and I have been quoted as doing so. So I'm not in the least bit surprised that he is the guy to beat. Mar 26 2017

Today was a really tough day. I'm proud of the way I played, the way I stayed in there, even though he (Rahm) made some birdies on the back nine. I didn't give him any holes, except for 10 (where) I three-putted. It was tough out there. The greens got really fast, the wind was affecting all the putts. Jon played really well. I just didn't really give him anything.feedback

I've played really solid every day. Today I made a bunch of birdies, no bogeys and usually in match play you do that, you win. Just because I'm number one I don't get a pass. I think I'm a great player. The best in the world? I mean, until now I probably wouldn't have said I was the best in the world. But now I can say it.
