Last quote by Hamish de Bretton-Gordon

The greatest evil everywhere is Isil and the greatest threat to the UK is Isil. It's the defeat of Islamic State that is key and the trouble is people in Iraq believe that the fight against Isil is over and it's focused in Raqqa and Syria. But there are still pockets in Iraq and anything that deflects from that could have a global impact.feedback

The most recent Hamish de Bretton-Gordon’s quote is: “We know that the jihadis have a lot of money and only last year tried to buy a highly enriched uranium from Russian criminals for $40 million a kilogram. So, would Kim Jong Un sell deadly VX for $40 million a kilogram? I think absolutely they would the more that they get pushed. I think we now know that they have 5,000 tons of VX. We know they have missiles capable of firing 4,000 to 6,000 miles, probably with a payload of half a ton, so half a ton of VX in those missiles could kill tens of thousands of people, and they could do that now, so that is a genuine concern.”. Apr 06 2017 - Chemical weapons

I appreciate the international community have wanted to wait for the full due process and the full chain of evidence. But that takes years, and we're not four years down the line from chemical weapons usage and it is now the norm. I'm absolutely convinced. For those who don't die immediately, it's the convulsions and pinpoint pupils. Because nerve agents basically attack your nerves and stop them working, which is why your eyes don't work. ... Because the nerve in the eye is dead. That is how you destroy sarin – you burn it or you blow it up.feedback

No I think this [claim] is pretty fanciful, no doubt the Russians trying to protect their allies. Axiomatically, if you blow up sarin, you destroy it. It's very clear it's a sarin attack. The view that it's an al-Qaida or rebel stockpile of sarin that's been blown up in an explosion, I think is completely unsustainable and completely untrue.feedback

Feb 24 2017 - North Korea

VX is the most toxic chemical weapon ever produced. Kim Jong Nam had absolutely no chance at all. I carry it in my hand luggage all over the world and no one has said anything – why would VX be any different? If they were behind this then it means a nation state has taken a weapon of mass destruction into another country and used it. It will be very interesting to see what the international reaction will be.feedback

You need a microscopic amount to kill one person, which is what happened to Kim Jong Nam.feedback
