Every national regulator is in addition entitled in the EU roaming regulation to impose dissuasive and effective sanctions on mobile operators that could be fined if this is necessary. We will put together, by the end of this week, a website which will include the names of all operators from EU countries saying whether they have offered the EU tarif and which kind of Euro tarif they have offered, indicating those directly at the ceiling or below, and those who haven't done anything so far. Let's hope there will not be too many.

We believe that a competitive industry should allow consumers to use international mobile roaming as an attractive service and not consider this as an annoyance. This is certainly something that we are going to look into. However at the moment, regulation is not what we foresee. We hope that the market with a little push and strong transparency initiative will make its work and see that it is better to offer consumers a service than to have to recommend to them to switch off their mobile phone when travelling abroad.
