I thought Cam Newton was about as courageous as it gets. He's not as young and nimble as he used to be. We have to be smart about that and think about other ways to use him. ... You can't sit there and expect us to run 20 zone reads and then expect him to carry the ball say 10 out of 20 times.

Without a doubt it's minuscule, but it can happen.

He took a little bit of a shot early on, but when he came to the sideline and had a chance to take a breath he was ready to roll.

Anytime you got your leader out there, it is a doggone good thing.

I knew it was going to be a feeding frenzy – that's just the way it is. I've addressed it and (Cam) has addressed it. So I'm done with it.

It's not the first time and it probably won't be the last time. At the end of the day everybody gets treated the same.

There was a feeling of 'let's stop it'. I think that's the most important thing. I think Charles Johnson said it best, about stopping people. That was good to see Charles step up and talk like that. I think it helped the guys.

We have put our backs completely and utterly up against the wall now. There is no room for error.

We can't take back-to-back sacks. We can't have two negatives plays like that. You do that and you don't give yourselves a chance to win the football game.

At the end of the day, it's not about special treatment. It's about being treated the same.

Cam is correct. I support him 100 percent in this. I was disappointed it wasn't called. But I get the benefit of looking up at the screen and seeing it on replay. It confirmed what I thought. It's difficult. You'd like to see those calls made. I'd love to see our quarterback get those calls.

This is just the next step and it's all about how he reacts to everything.

He looked good and threw the ball pretty doggone well. He was involved in the plays that we had scripted for him and handled those very well.

You can never be satisfied. We didn't win the Super Bowl. So that right there is enough for us to stay motivated and keep moving toward our goal.
